I love board games but hate all the setup and tear down so with a busy schedule I don’t often find the time to play with the family, so this is a godsend for me. Played through a few different games with my kids and we all had an absolute blast. We're also still revisiting daily challenges and the campaigns in a few of the others. The technology behind this is so cool and it responds perfectly to the physical pieces which are easily my favorite part. Can’t wait to see what new games and pieces will come out in the future. I really really appreciate that there’s no subscription or always online requirements to enjoy this product. It's also refreshing to have a good assortment of quality titles available instead of a store full of shovelware and addictive ADHD inducing mobile style F2P stuff. The developers should be very proud of what they have created here, and I hope it continues to succeed and grow. The vintage packaging and paper insert is a nice little attention to detail that made me feel an instant emotional attachment to this product as I opened it up. Very satisfied with the Board and will be recommending it to friends and family.
It’s everything and more. Fun for all ages. Me and my family play for hours at a time.
I am highly satisfied with "The Board." My spouse, who typically has a demanding schedule, consistently makes time to engage in this activity with me. The aesthetic design of the board is exceptional, and the instructional materials facilitate a clear understanding of the gameplay. Even my four-year-old grandchild finds it enjoyable.
The Board has made a huge impact in terms of connecting and bonding with my 3 and 5 year old nephews. I don’t get up to see the them as often as I would like and they are usually very shy with me. Since getting the Board, they now fight over my attention even when we aren’t playing with it!
My 5-year old nephew literally jumps up and down in the living room window when he sees me drive up because he’s so excited to play the “Board”. He loves all the space games, Chop Chop, and the Spy game which we thought would be too hard for him.
My 3-year old nephew loves Mushka! He calls it the puppy game. He loves playing Mushka and showing off how smart he is with his memory of the tasks. He especially likes feeding the puppy! I highly recommend this game for the younger kids.
In closing, The Board made a huge boost to growing our Aunt and Nephew bond. 😍
Their mom absolutely loves it and even my mom, their great-grandmother, is getting in on the action. It’s a great addition to our play time and I’m looking forward to the new games coming out this year!
I love this device. It's easy to use and so much fun. I can't wait for the new games to come out
While most of the games included with the console are relatively light fair, Strata, Save the Bloogs, and Spycraft stand out as very interesting marriages of video and board gaming. Particularly looking forward to the virtual tabletop for dungeon crawling.
Fantastic game for my family spent all weekend playing with my son which I’m looking forward to for a long time..finally a game that brings us together!great product
Sorry my review is short... I am pretty busy right now. I have 3 deluxe burgers and 2 house salads plus a vip ticket. Board is the best thing ever! Okay back to chop chop.
As a 43-year-old dad, I’m constantly looking for ways to engage my kids in activities that get them off their individual devices. It might sound counter-intuitive to buy a digital board game to "fight" screen time, but believe me—it works.
Board offers the best of both worlds: the tactile feel of physical pieces with the high-energy engagement of a digital playground. I have a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old, and both were immediately hooked.
While the arcade games are a fun distraction, the real magic is in games like Chop Chop and Strata. We’ve found that Chop Chop creates the most engagement because it requires us to actually work together at the table. It doesn’t feel like "screen time"—it feels like a modern family game night.
If you’re a parent trying to bridge the gap between "old school" family time and the tech your kids crave, this is a massive win.
I love The Board! From ordering, shipment, receiving, and customer service - the experience has been great. I have contacted the company regarding a carrying case & small glitch in Chop Chop and their response time has been wild! (they responded on a Sunday night regarding the glitch!). For me - It's just me and my husband and we find the games very enjoyable. We each have our favorites. I truly cannot wait for more games to come out. Thank you :)
My 7 year old LOVES this thing. Chop chop has been an obvious favorite but we've been doing Spycraft together for a few nights and omg it's great.
Thought this was for kids at first but my wife and I can't stop playing it. We love board and video games but really like that this puts those two together. Also we like that we are playing and working together in the games
Purchased the Board for the family for Christmas, and man it's been a hit! Kids love working together playing through various games. Everything works very well, amd is intuitive enough for our 6 year old. Older family members have enjoyed the cooking game and puzzle games. We're really excited to see the future updates, and their support team is also top notch. Would definitely purchase again!
My wife is a big board gamer…. The traditional. Sorry, Risk, Backgammon, Mexican Dominos, etc. I thought“The Board” would be a great gift and I was right. She loves it. Cannot wait for more games.
Board is a lot of fun, most importantly entire family can play together, Strata, Spycraft, Bloogers is a reason it permanently occupies space on our dinner table.
Started playing immediately when shipped around Christmas time, still not bored!
Great product and amazing content, please keep releasing new games! Waiting for Strata Expansion!
Our family game nights have been taken up a notch!! I love this interactive gaming device-it's different than playing video games where everyone's attention isno focused on each other. With Board, it's the modernization of the family game nights I loved where we pulled out numerous boxes of our favorite games. We love to play Strata and my neurodivergent child loves to save the Bloogs! I loved how Board engages my children to cooperate with each other on some games and encourages fun, competitive gameplay. Looking forward to all the new releases coming in 2026!
Great family fun! Easy to learn games and a lot to choose from to meet everyone's interests! Definitely recommend!!
We love the system so far. Early favorite was Chop Chop, but we also love the Arcade games, Bloogs, and Strata. We just started Spycraft today and it's great - challenging enough to be fun for adults and a 9-year old to play together. We can't wait for some of the other games to launch!
We purchased Board to initially engage a 3 year old with some attention issues. They would usually only really focus on a handheld device. Otherwise they drifted in their attention, making playtime chaotic and learning time impossible. Board changed that overnight. They love to feed Mushka, and are drawn into problem solving skills in many of the other games. We find they interact more directly, focus intently, and have put down the handheld. This has also given way to opening the eyes of our family to how we game. The immersive, interactive experience has provided hours of enjoyment, laughter and conversations we haven't truly been able to engage in with all the distractions around.
My grandkids love this! And frankly, so do I. Their favorite so far is Chop, Chop. I'm looking forward to more puzzle and word games.
As an avid board game player, I’m always looking for new ways to get people together around a table (and in my case, primarily adults). Board, the new digital board game system from an eponymously named new company, takes the growing convergence of digital and tactile board games in a promising new direction. Board is not the first attempt to create a digitally-driven board game experience, but it is both the most ambitious to date and, based on my testing so far, the most successful.
The centerpiece of this “face-to-face game console” is a 24” touchscreen housed in a hefty (and somewhat imposing) plastic case, which also provides the brain and volume controls (but no battery, you’ll still have to plug it in). The heart of the Board experience, however, is a set of charming physical game pieces that communicate with the touchscreen in a novel way — the system recognizes not only the placement of individual pieces, but their orientation, and with such speed and accuracy that it enables entirely new types of gameplay. Combining the audiovisual feedback of video games with the tactile interaction of board games creates a certain kind of magic that we really haven’t seen before, and it really feels like this initial offering is the beginning of a new category.
The games included in the initial set are not recognizable tabletop staples, but they’re executed with enough care, attention to detail and variety to provide a solid rotation for both game nights and impromptu sessions. The just-released roadmap of future games includes a lot of promising concepts, including the promise of a future tie-in to more complicated tabletop games in the vein of Dungeons & Dragons.
My only real issue with the 1.0 version of Board is that some aspects of the physical hardware don’t feel entirely finished — the plastic bezel detaches too easily, and there is not an obvious way to pick up the unit without it popping off. The power cord placement and routing could also use a bit of rethinking. But these are minor quibbles that don’t really mar the core experience.
Board is definitely a premium product on par with a video game console, in both quality and price, so not everyone will be immediately convinced. But it is definitely a new idea in a space that has seen a lot of interest in recent years, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
Board is great for the whole family from my 5 year old granddaughter to both my husband and I! We love it!
